A box of 30 snack packs and a party size tray are hard to compare by sticker price. Divide each price by the weight and they line up. That figure sits on the tag of every pack with a stated weight, 150 of them.

What snack packs charge for
Snack packs cost more per ounce in every aisle. You pay for the wrapping, the box and the portioning. In return each pack is sealed until you open it, and nobody has to count cookies into a bag.
If the cookies stay in the kitchen, a tray is the cheaper way to buy them. If they travel, the extra cents per pack buy you the wrapper.
